A real person
reads this.
O’Block is made by a small team. There is no ticket portal and no bot, just an address.
We answer in English, usually within two working days.
Questions we actually get
- When does The Daily reset?
At midnight, local to your iPhone. The board is seeded from the calendar date, so wherever you are, the puzzle you get on a given date is the puzzle everybody else gets on that date. You simply reach it at your own midnight.
- Can I replay a Daily if I make a mess of it?
No. One attempt per day is the point of it: a Daily score only means something if everyone had the same single chance at the same board. If you want to keep playing, Classic is there and it never ends.
- I lost my streak. Can you restore it?
Streaks live on your device and we have no copy of them, so there is nothing for us to restore. A missed day ends the streak and the next Daily starts a new one.
- I reinstalled the app and my coins are gone.
Open Settings in the app and tap Restore Purchases. Any O’Coins you bought are attached to your Apple ID and will come back.
Coins you earned by playing are stored on the device and are not recoverable after a delete. The same is true of your best score and Journey stars, because O’Block has no account to sync them to.
- How do I restore a purchase?
Settings, then Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID you bought with. If nothing returns, check that the purchase appears in your Apple purchase history before writing to us.
- I want a refund.
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Report the problem at reportaproblem.apple.com with the receipt Apple emailed you.
- What is the ink meter?
Two ink cells sit somewhere on the Classic board. Clear a line that runs through one and you earn a charge; at three charges you can swap a piece in your rack for one you choose. It is only in Classic. The Daily leaves it out so every score is comparable, and Journey levels have fixed queues.
- Do I need an internet connection?
Only for the leaderboard. Classic, Journey and The Daily itself all work offline; your Daily score is submitted the next time the app can reach the server.
- How do I change my name, country or avatar?
Tap your name on the home screen to rename yourself, and use Settings for the country and the avatar. The name you choose is the one shown on the worldwide leaderboard.
- Something is broken.
Write to us with your iPhone model, your iOS version and what you were doing when it went wrong. A screenshot helps more than a description.
About O’Coins
Coins are earned by clearing lines, topped up by a daily reward, and optionally bought in the Shop. They pay for an undo, and for the continue that Classic offers when you run out of moves.
The Daily has no undo and no continue on purpose. Nothing you can buy changes a Daily score.
Privacy and data
O’Block has no accounts, no ads and no analytics SDKs, and stores almost everything on your device. The full account of what is kept, what is sent when you submit a Daily score, and how to have a leaderboard entry deleted is on the privacy page.
