Privacy

The short version

There are no accounts and no sign-up. Nearly everything O’Block knows about you (your name, your avatar, your scores, your streak, your coins) lives on your iPhone and nowhere else.

One thing leaves the device, and only when you choose it: your score on The Daily, submitted to Apple’sGame Center so it can appear on the worldwide leaderboard under your Game Center identity. There are no ads, no analytics SDKs and no third-party trackers in the app.

What stays on your device

The following is stored locally on your iPhone using the system’s standard app storage, and is removed when you delete the app:

• Your display name and preset avatar (used only inside the app).
• Your best Classic score, Daily results and daily streak.
• Journey progress and the stars earned on each level.
• Your O’Coins balance and daily-reward timer.
• Sound, haptics and theme preferences.

None of this is uploaded, backed up to us, or readable by us. If your iPhone is set to back up app data to iCloud, Apple’s backup terms apply to that copy, and we have no access to it.

The one exception is coins you have bought: those are an Apple purchase, so they can be restored after a reinstall. Coins you earned by playing, like your scores and streak, cannot.

Your anonymous identity

To keep purchases and your O’Coins balance attached to the right player without asking you to create an account, O’Block uses the anonymous identifier issued by RevenueCat, the service that manages in-app purchases. It is a random string. It contains no name, email address, phone number or Apple ID.

The identifier is kept in your iPhone’s keychain, which means it survives deleting and reinstalling the app. That is what lets your purchases and coin balance come back after a reinstall.

We cannot use it to contact you, and it is not shared with anyone beyond the services described on this page.

The leaderboard (Game Center)

The Daily’s worldwide leaderboard is Apple’sGame Center. When you finish a run, your score is submitted to Game Center under your Game Center player identity — the nickname and photo you chose with Apple, moderated by Apple, governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

Our own servers store nothing about the leaderboard: no scores, no names, no countries. The display name you type inside O’Block never leaves your device — it is only the greeting on your home screen.

If Game Center is switched off on your device, the game is fully playable; you just won’t appear on the board.

Device integrity checks

To protect the O’Coins wallet from fabricated requests, the app’s server requests carry a device-integrity token based on Apple’s App Attest, issued through aGoogle Firebase service. It confirms the request came from a genuine, unmodified copy of O’Block on a real Apple device.

App Attest is designed so that it attests the app, not the person. It gives us no identifier that follows you, and no information about you, your device’s contents or your other apps. This is the only purpose for which O’Block uses a Google service.

Purchases

O’Coins can be bought as an optional in-app purchase. The transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your card details, billing address or Apple ID.

We use RevenueCat to read Apple’s receipt and tell the app what you are entitled to. RevenueCat receives the purchase receipt and the anonymous identifier described above, and acts as our processor. Apple’s own privacy policy governs the payment itself, and refunds are requested through Apple rather than through us.

What O’Block does not do

• No advertising, and no advertising identifier (no IDFA).
• No analytics or attribution SDKs: no Google Analytics, no Facebook SDK, no session recording, no heat maps.
• No cross-app or cross-site tracking, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track.
• No selling or sharing of personal data. There is nothing to sell.
• No access to contacts, photos, microphone, camera or location.
• No email address collected, and no marketing messages.

Children

O’Block is suitable for a general audience and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. The one field a child could type into is the display name, which is why the app suggests a nickname rather than a real name — and that name stays on the device. The public leaderboard uses Game Center identities, which Apple manages with its own protections for children.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app from your iPhone removes everything stored on the device.

Leaderboard entries live in Game Center, so they are managed through your Apple account and Apple’s own privacy tools. For anything held by our wallet service (the anonymous identifier and coin balance), email support@raylabs.io and we will remove it; we aim to act within 30 days.

Depending on where you live you may also have rights to access or correct the data described above. The same address handles those requests.

Changes to this policy

If O’Block changes in a way that changes this page, the new version is published here with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
